Rustic Vintage This trend has been especially popular in my local area and has been blowing up on Pinterest as well. Classic lace dresses are a staple for this theme. For the ceremony and reception, barn venues, burlap and lace decor, mason jars, chalkboard signs, and simple flowers will fit the scene.
1920s Downton Abbey and the upcoming Great Gatsby movie have made 1920s glam weddings very popular. Designers like Jenny Packham and Claire Pettibone are the go-to creators for 20's gowns. Metallic touches in decor and speak-easy parties for receptions are perfect touches. Be careful, though - this theme can go flapper-costume-ey and super cheesy very quickly. Keep it classy!!
Colored Dresses Definitely a choice for a non-traditional bride, and one she won't regret. This spring a variety of pastels have been popular, from blush, sherbet, mint, and lavender. For an evening wedding, gold and champagne colored dresses are key.
Love Birds Who would have thought that birds would be the next big thing? From quaint lovebirds as cake toppers to birdcages as card boxes, feathered friends are showing up everywhere. Dresses are even being made with bird patterns and feathers. For an outdoor spring garden wedding, this motif can be extraordinarily cute.
Grey and Yellow Another Pinterest favorite, this color scheme is perfect for spring or summer. While yellow dresses can be difficult for bridesmaids, grey dresses with yellow shoes make a great alternative and make a great blank slate for bright yellow flowers; yellow roses, cala lilies, and billy balls accented with dusty miller leaves are perfect.
